Irish Greens looking for an election

In the wake of Ireland’s acceptance of an IMF bailout buffeted by the European Union and the UK, one of the junior governmental coalition partners in the Irish Dáil, the Irish Greens, called for a general election after the Dáil is dissolved in December.  Here is the Irish Taoiseach, Brian Cowen giving an official address on the situation:

It will be interesting to see how the cards fall over the course of the next few months–both in the Irish political process and in the stability of the Irish economy and those of its shaky brethren in Greece, Portugal, Spain, and Italy.
