Happy Lincoln-Darwin Bicentennial!

On this day two hundred years ago, two very influential figures were born.  Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth President of the United States, was born in Hardin County, Kentucky, and Charles Darwin, whose theory of evolution by means of natural selection forms much of the bedrock of modern biology, was born in Shrewbury, Shropshire, England.
