Russia to join the US and China in new space race

Apparently, Russia has plans to send manned missions to the moon by 2025 and perhaps manned missions to Mars around 2035.  This puts its projected moon landing behind that of the US, which is aiming for 2020 (2024 for setting up a lunar base) and that of China, which is aiming for 2024.

It will be interesting to see the competition between the space programs as they attempt to put astronauts, taikonauts, and cosmonauts on the moon should be interesting to watch over the course of the next few decade.  Perhaps this will rekindle some of the enthusiasm that the public has been lacking as of late, for space travel.
